Creating Hole Tables in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0

Alberto J, Mechanical Design Engineer (Sheetmetal Manufacturing) Asks:
Regarding your April tip Creating Sheetmetal Drawings in Wildfire 3.0, I would like to know if, in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0, is it possible to create a hole table, because Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 only recognizes holes produced by the hole creation tool and not by the protrusion tool. Most of the time, sheet metal parts have a lot of holes, and identifying them one by one takes a long time.

Applications Engineer Answers:
Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3.0 functions much the same as Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 with regard to creating hole tables. This is because of the wide array of "holes" that can be created by using the extrude tool. Not all holes created using the extrude feature will truly be holes. They can be slots, tabs, reliefs, and so forth. It is best practice to use the Hole Creation Tool to create holes and the extrude tool for all other types of material removal.
