Manufacturing Services

Digital manufacturing technology has revolutionized how products are created. With digital accuracy and robotic efficiency, the CAD/CAM/CNC platform has ushered in a new era of productivity, enabling manufacturing companies of any size to enjoy gains in speed and quality while lowering costs. TriStar has emerged as a leader in this field, enabling companies of all sizes from small shops to Fortune 500 corporations to adopt and fully utilize this new manufacturing technology.

Our Team

Our team is carefully assembled from leading industry professionals with deep domain expertise across the entire spectrum of PTC manufacturing software. Internationally recognized for their expertise, our engineers have been called upon to assist companies worldwide. Averaging over 16 years of experience each, our experts have accumulated over 53,000 combined hours of Pro/ENGINEER experience and have worked in nearly all industry disciplines including master model creation, plastic injection molds, forming dies, stamping dies, progressive die, rapid prototype, sheet metal, coordinate measuring (CMM), production environments, investment casting, and research and development.

CNC Capabilities

Our manufacturing team has worked with the following CNC machines: 2-axis through 6 ½-axis milling, turning, EDM, punches, lasers, flame, hydro-cutting, and CMM.

TOOLPATH PROGRAMMING
When you need expert help with hard-to-program parts or simply need support for overflow work, our team will perform toolpath programming on your parts and provide you with machine code to drive your CNC machine. You can either supply your post to us, or we can run one of our standard off-the-shelf post processors to generate the final file.

POST PROCESSORS
A poor post processor can mean longer cycle times and can produce incorrect NC data that can lower part quality, increase scrap, and even damage equipment and lessen cutting tool life. With the proper post processor, you can be assured of reliable output of quality parts at the lowest cost. We have developed a library of post processors for most standard machine controllers. In most cases, our engineers can fit them to your needs with only minor configurations. When your machine tools are particularly difficult to program, a fully custom post processor may be necessary. Multiple axes, special attachments and advanced features all require considerable post processor development knowledge. All our manufacturing engineers have extensive experience creating and customizing post processors in G-Post and will tailor a solution for your most exacting CNC requirements.

Education

Our manufacturing team has years of hands-on experience working side-by-side with customers helping them get up to speed with new technology fast. In addition, our engineers are PTC-certified instructors, and have even assisted in the creation of PTC’s training materials for manufacturing courses. From traditional classroom PTC training courses to customized mentoring around programming your toolpaths or cutting metal, we have developed flexible training programs to fit the needs of every end user.

Software Implementation

Our team is experienced with the full spectrum of PTC’s verification, machining and tooling products. We can help you select the right software package and make sure it is properly implemented quickly. We’ll incorporate your company’s standards and best practices into the implementation, focusing on configuration of the user environment; tool libraries; creating workcells, standard fixtures and parameter files; and making sure the applications are set up for your particular CNC machines.
