Summary

TriStar is looking for a Search Engine Marketing Specialist that will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to manage all search engine optimization and marketing activities. Working alongside the Marketing team, you will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy & content building, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will also manage all SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing in order to maximize ROI.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Search Engine Marketing Specialist will need to research trending topics within our area of focus within a variety of industries focusing on manufacturing, engineering, CAD, PLM, (Product Lifecycle Management) AR and automation. They have experience writing for a web-based audience as well as a working knowledge of search engine optimization best practices and how they apply to content marketing.

  • Optimizing current copy on a website (page titles, meta descriptions, h1s, alts, anchor text, etc.)
  • Writing new SEO-friendly copy for TriStar website
  • Blog writing and posting
  • Press release writing (as well as other forms of PR–media pitches, articles, etc.)
  • Infographic creation and promotion
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links
  • Develop and implement link building strategy
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented & recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or relevant field. (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven SEO experience
  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing. (Experience with LinkedIn/Twitter advertising desired)
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Creativity & resourcefulness
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
  • Flexibility to evolve strategies quickly & effectively
  • Experience in WordPress (preferred)

COMPENSATION:

  • Full-time M-F employment
  • Competitive salary starting at $48,000 to $52,000/yr (depending on experience and skillset)
