AI, Automation, MBD, and Connected Engineering

Join fellow engineering and PLM professionals for a full day of practical sessions focused on Creo, Windchill, AI, simulation, MBD, automation, and enterprise system integration. This in-person East Cobb PTC/USER meeting brings together industry experts, customers, and partners to share technical strategies that improve design workflows and strengthen your digital thread.

From AI-powered assistance inside Creo and Windchill to automation tools and ERP integration discussions, this agenda balances innovation with real-world application. The day concludes with an open town hall, raffle, and brewery tastings.

Why Attend?

Engineering complexity continues to increase. AI is entering CAD and PLM. Simulation must move earlier in the design cycle. Requirements and test data demand stronger traceability. Meanwhile, pushing data downstream into MRP, ERP, and MES systems requires better planning.

This event delivers practical guidance you can apply immediately. You will hear directly from PTC, industry experts, and experienced practitioners while networking with peers who face similar challenges.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll gain insight into how AI Assist enhances Creo and Windchill workflows, how simulation supports designers earlier in development, and how advanced surfacing techniques improve model quality.

You’ll also learn why Excel struggles with modern requirements and test management, how to prepare your organization for Model-Based Definition (MBD), and how automation tools inside Creo can accelerate repetitive tasks. The day closes with a strategic look at the pros and cons of pushing engineering data into MRP, ERP, and MES systems, followed by an open Q&A discussion.

Agenda Overview

The day begins with networking and introductions before diving into AI Assist in Creo and Windchill with Brad Cline from PTC. A local customer will share insights on Simulation for Creo Designers, followed by Bart Brechja from Design Engine presenting Creo Surfacing Tips and Tricks.

Before lunch, Robert Leslie from PTC will explain why using Excel for requirements and test management limits visibility and control. After a catered lunch and networking session, the afternoon continues with Preparing for MBD – Best Practices, Creo automation tools, and a session led by Bryan Enabnit from TriStar on the pros and cons of pushing data into MRP, ERP, and MES systems.

The event concludes with an open town hall Q&A, raffle, and tastings.
